SWITCHING TO BEN IS FASTER THAN EVER

Benjamin Franklin Bank's Products and Services were developed with you in mind. We are banking at the SPEED of life, because banking shouldn't slow you down. These simple steps will make switching your current checking account to a Benjamin Franklin Bank checking account faster than ever.

To open a new account at Benjamin Franklin Bank, stop in one of our Eleven Branches and speak to a experienced Customer Service Representative. You will be guided through our array of checking accounts to help you determine which account(s) are best for you. If you choose an account that includes Free Online Banking and Free Online Bill Pay, those accounts will be set up as well. Plus, you will be issued temporary checks and your new debit card(s) will be ordered.

Please have a valid driver's license and a second form of ID with you when you come in. You can open your new Benjamin Franklin Bank checking account for as little as $10.00.

Set up your Direct Deposit. Use the Direct Deposit Authorization Form to inform your employer that you have a new Benjamin Franklin Bank checking account. The process may take a few days to complete so during that time, stop using your old checking account but keep the account open until all outstanding checks clear.

If you have automatic payments withdrawn from your checking account, such as: utility, loan or credit card payments, simply complete the Automatic Withdrawal Switch Form to notify creditors to redirect your automatic withdrawals from your new Benjamin Franklin Bank checking account. (Use one form for each creditor.)

Close your old checking account using our Checking Account Closing Form.
